Bob Cap - Pinstripe
This one didn't start with a fabric find of mine. It started with Ed De Lacy, the leatherworker whose workshop shares the building with mine, pulling a length of pinstripe suiting out of my fabric store and telling me it had to become something. He was right.
The body is a mid to lightweight pinstripe suiting - dressed-down enough for a cap, dressed-up enough to notice. The peak is raw indigo selvedge denim, and underneath it, a mid green moleskin from Brisbane Moss. That green isn't decorative. Early baseball caps used a kelly green underbrim to cut glare off the field - I'm bringing that detail back, built the way it used to be built, for the reason it used to be built that way.
A small felt "S" sits on the front (a quiet reference, more on that soon). Available with or without, just leave a note at checkout to specify your choice.
At the rear, a black aluminium tension lock adjusts the fit on a strap cut from the same denim as the peak, selvedge visible along the bottom edge.
No limited run this time — I've got plenty of everything used here. Just a cap sparked by someone else noticing what I had.
Bob caps are now available in two sizes - Standard (56–60cm) and Large (60–64cm) - to ensure the fit is as considered as everything else. To select your size, simply leave a note at checkout with your preference.
