Made from offcuts of Halley Stevenson waxed cotton, cut from obsolete trade swatch books and stitched, tile by tile, into a new patchwork textile. Fully lined in deadstock Halley Stevenson Safety Orange ripstop – the same mill, a different offcut, saved the same way.

Swatch books are a mill's working reference – every colour a fabric has ever run in, bound together for a buyer or a designer to leaf through before commissioning. Once a book falls out of date it's normally discarded. These are what's left of that process: sorted by hand into colour groups, trimmed to a working size, and stitched edge to edge rather than blended or colour-matched. The join stays visible on every piece – that's construction, not decoration.

Five sacoches. Each one of one – built from whatever colour ran through the stack at the time it was cut. No two the same, no repeats coming.
