Terrell Ultrafleece Cap - Magic Line
The TERRELL cap is tough but smooth with a lot of soul, just like its namesake, Tammi Terrell. Best known for her partnership with Marvin Gaye, Terrell's story is one of a hard life, fully lived that ended too soon. Gone to soon could also describe the Terrell cap's inspiration, the Ultrafleece cap, released by Manchester's own Mountain Equipment during the 90s. An original version was sourced by our favourite treasure hunter, Rich at Bags of Flavor, and with help from our Instagram community we were able to track down the Nottingham made fleece used on the original.
For the release of the Terrell cap we have a very limited number of hats made using another 90s classic. A vintage FILA 'Magic Line' fleece has been used to line a small number of Inky Blue Terrell caps. With original 'Magic Line' branding on just three of them.
Where the Mountain Equipment version used fleece inside and out, we've opted for a dry waxed cotton shell and Ultrafleece lining. The earflaps fasten under the chin or over the top with metal press studs and the rear of the hat and earflap are elasticated for a snug fit.
