To begin volume two of our 'Six Bars of Soul' series we head deep into the heart of the Black Country. Released in 1994, Goldie's 'Inner City Life' still rattles your bones with its energy and soul to this day. The design, which is printed with reflective ink, shows the modernist façade of Wolverhampton's School of Art (designed by Diamond, Redfern & Partners in the late 1960s) and features typography developed directly from the buildings windows. Bringing British Modern and modern Britain together. The chest print shows the spine of a cassette with the artist and track, throughout the series each new track will be added to the stack.
We made a handful of sweats for this design to see how they'd come out, we think they came out great! The sweatshirt is made from 300gsm, 85% organic cotton / 15% polyester loopback jersey, has raglan sleeves and that all important 'V' detail on the neck. A medium fit so nice for layering under jackets or workshirts, if you want a baggy look think about going a size up from your usual.
